1. Position Summary (purpose and fundamental goals of the position):
The role is responsible for a) finding several partners (especially, CMO, CDMO, CRO etc) to complement pharmaceutical systems business, b) reaching out pharmaceutical companies by technical, scientific and consulting approach, c) proactively networking with customers/KOL, other businesses/functions within BD Japan and WW PS so as to achieve expected return.
2. Key Responsibilities (tasks & outcomes for which this position will be accountable)
• Create strategies and actions to achieve business plans (annual budget and mid-term plan) by thinking of partnering with CMO, CDMO, CRO etc, which BD does not have capability.
• Expand current BD service by collaborating with other partners such as CMO, CDMO, CRO etc and capture as many opportunities (biosimilar, rare diseases etc) as possible.
• Finding / creating new business opportunities from pharmaceutical customers by technical and scientific presentations and consultation approaches to solve / support the project of formulation (CMC) scientists.
• Leverage opportunities, avoid/alleviate risks and prepare for changes through better understanding the market.
• Establish, maintain and develop strategic partnership with customers, KOLs and relevant industrial organizations.
• Co-work with PS’s other team (Sales, Technical service, and Customer Quality) for driving PS business.
• Partner with PS marketing organizations of Greater Asia and contribute to building effective network and achieving synergy for exposing PS Japan to GA and WW.
• Make sure of strategic collaboration and direction for Fukushima plant PS Operations / Manufacturing function.
