■Recruitment Background
Under the mission of “Money Forward. Move your life forward,” Money Forward aims to resolve the financial concerns and anxieties of individuals and businesses through the power of technology.
In partnership with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, we have established a new company in preparation for launching a new digital bank.
We are currently seeking candidates for the position of QA Manager as part of this initiative.
Based on the press release announced on April 16, 2025.
Note: This position involves employment with Money Forward, Inc., and a secondment to the new company (SMBC Money Forward Bank Preparatory Corporation). The evaluation system and employee benefits will follow the policies of Money Forward, Inc.
■About Us
We are a startup team partnering with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new digital bank.
Our top priority is to build embedded financial products from scratch to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
This new digital bank project leverages the power of SaaS × Fintech to deliver accessible, cost-effective, and timely financial services.
Our aim is to create transformative back-office operational experiences and innovative financial journeys, supporting the Digital Transformation of our clients.
■Main Responsibilities
As a QA Manager, you will help shape the future of digital banking in Japan by developing products that are more user-friendly and easier to use than ever before.
・Manage QA organization, including recruitment and development (members across multiple locations: Japan and Vietnam)
・Formulate test strategies (unit testing, integration testing, system testing, functional/non-functional requirements, including automation)
・Collect, measure, analyze, and review defect data for continuous quality improvement
・Standardize development and testing processes
■Unique Experience Gained
・Lead collaborative development, design reviews, and post-mortems with international teams
・Define quality governance specific to the banking domain, including:
Formalizing release criteria
Severity definitions (Sev1–3)
Traceability requirements
Audit readiness protocols

技能/経験
■Required Skills and Experience
・Over 3 years of experience in QA management
・Experience managing a team of 5 or more members
・Proven ability to formulate and execute test strategies with a focus on QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery)
・Bachelor’s degree in Information Processing, Computer Science, or equivalent knowledge
・Holder of ISTQB or JSTQB Foundation Level certification, or equivalent knowledge; ISTQB Advanced Level is a plus
■Preferred Skills and Experience
・English: Business level
・Strong interest in communicating and collaborating within a global development environment
(Development is conducted in collaboration with overseas teams, requiring English in professional contexts)
・Experience in AI development or using AI tools for development
(Money Forward recently announced its AI Strategy roadmap, focusing on improving AI-driven operational efficiencies and integrating AI agents into our products to deliver better value to users)
■Language Requirements
・Japanese: Business level (JLPT N2 or above)
