This position requires at least five years of relevant experience in clinical operations and/or clinical site payments, as well as related areas such as finance, site contracts, vendor management, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or an equivalent field.
Experience supporting clinical trial operations, including investigator/site payments, site contracts and budgets, and/or vendor-managed operational processes is required.
The role expects strong skills in coordination, stakeholder management, organisation, prioritisation, and disciplined follow-through within a cross-functional matrix environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability is needed, including interpreting operational and payment data, identifying risks and root causes, and developing practical solutions.
The candidate should be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and influence outcomes even without direct authority.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office is required (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams).
Experience or ability to learn and use payment vendor portals, secure file transfer tools, Smartsheet, Power BI dashboards, and workflow solutions is expected.
The candidate must be native/fluent in Japanese and fluent in written and verbal English, and hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (with at least five years of relevant Japan trial operations experience preferred); travel is as needed.
