Position Overview:
To be ready for this rapid growth, we are looking for an individual who has proven experience in leading Retail Supply Chain / Ecommerce operations throughout Japan including Order Management, third party logistics performance, and supply planning.
Reporting to the Japan Operations Director, this Supply Chain Manager will primarily be responsible for managing entire supply chain process, from Supply planning and execution, importation, inventory management, order fulfilment, logistics (Distribution, Warehousing, Storage) to reverse logistics and responding to inquiries from all stakeholders for both JP and APAC team. In addition, enhancing the supply chain with competitive costs and excellent performance is the key role for this position and needs to be monitored and tracked with the best initiatives.
This individual is required to have broad knowledge and experience in whole business and supply chain processes and skills to resolve existing issues and to execute the plan for the best-in-class supply chain operations.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you will get to do:
・Manage the performance of Japan’s third party warehouse and distribution providers including value added service activities for Ecommerce and B2B channels. Ensuring that warehouse and delivery KPI’s are met or exceeded and that costs are maintained at or below plan expectations. Quickly identify root cause of any performance deviation, develop and take actions to resolve root cause and take further corrective action as needed
・Partnering with stakeholders, participate/lead third party service provider contract reviews or market evaluations as required
・Manage the integrity of on-hand inventory, ensuring regular counts are being completed, root causes of any variance determined with actions taken to resolve the gap and ensure inventory quality is maintained at optimal levels
・Manage reverse logistics flows, ensuring that return process is adhered to, that robust processes are in place to validate that the condition of receipts are in compliance with return policy, harvesting accessories as is possible or needed
・Work with the planning team to provide a reliable flow of information inbound product shipments from source and destination partners to ensure the on-time arrival and receipt of imported goods. Work with supply planner and freight forwarder to quickly identify root cause of any course deviation, develop and take actions to resolve root cause and take further corrective action as needed
・Collaborate with supply planner to ensure maintenance of optimal market inventory levels, making visible to cross functional stakeholders’ potential impacts to service levels and inventory levels with recommended mitigation including the elimination of SLOB’s risk by working with sales team and/or cross functionally to complete disposition actions on time
・Ensure ongoing maintenance of operational systems including EDI, master data and planning attributes
・Prepare regular Operations KPI scorecards & reporting, functional updates and presentations
・Provide timely and thorough communication of potential operational risks that may affect Japan sales,develop mitigation actions and report progress to cross functional stakeholders
・Partner with key cross functional stakeholders to prepare plans and contingencies to enable operational supply chain systems, processes and ways of working to expand to accommodate future growth in a managed and controlled process

・Work very closely with China Supply Chain Team, Singapore regional Team and Japan sales / Marketing /Supply Chain team.
・Report to Japan Operations Director.
・This position will have ten (10) direct reports

Travel Requirements
Expected percentage of travel:
Travel Required (mainly domestic) -up to 10%
Regularly visiting 3PLs and warehouses once each quarter or more.
Flexible work schedule to accommodate virtual meetings with regional team.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
The ideal candidate will be a Supply Chain professional with proven experience driving Japan supply chain
activities within a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment. The colleague must be a proactive, action-oriented
with the ability to quickly solve complex problems and a “make it happen” attitude. This leader must
also have strong experience and proven ability in partnering with and influencing cross functional internal and external stakeholders
【Expected Areas of Skills / Knowledge / Abilities】
・A degree, APICS certification or equivalent qualifications in Operations or Supply Chain Management
preferred
・Preferred candidate will have experience in Ecommerce and B2B supply chains handling electrical goods including
・Required Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a leader/senior leader in Japan operations or
supply chain roles
・Analytic skills and strategic mindset- seeing the bigger picture from both business and customer aspects and developing “To-be” supply chain model.
・Logical thinking to organize information and explain conclusions or ideas logically.
・Flexibility to deal with ambiguous situation
・Ability to take proactive actions to find a solution and drive project on your own
・Project management skill and leadership to lead cross-functional team and deliver results
・Multitasking capability to work on multiple tasks in parallel based on priority and accomplish them on time.
・Native level Japanese communication skills
・Advanced level English skills (Speaking / reading / writing capabilities)
・Self-motivated and self-starter.
