■Job Overview
The Clinical Network Director is responsible for leading clinical operations across assigned countries or regions, ensuring excellence in project delivery, quality, resource management, financial performance, and business growth. This strategic leadership role oversees large, matrixed teams and serves as a key partner to customers, internal stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. The position drives operational efficiency, talent development, country expertise, and commercial expansion while ensuring successful delivery of global clinical projects.
Key Responsibilities

【Leadership】
Lead and develop high-performing Clinical Network teams across assigned countries.
Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams.
Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
Represent the organization externally with customers, sites, and regulatory authorities.
Lead regional and global initiatives and contribute to strategic business objectives.

【Operational Excellence】
Ensure efficient delivery of clinical projects within timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
Provide strategic country-level expertise on regulatory requirements and clinical landscapes.
Monitor operational performance through KPIs and quality metrics, driving continuous improvement.
Optimize resource allocation, workforce planning, and utilization across projects and customers.

【Talent Management】
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, and retention of employees.
Build strong leadership pipelines and succession plans.
Implement training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
Foster a high-performance culture and address employee engagement and performance challenges.

【Quality & Compliance】
Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Identify and mitigate quality risks through proactive monitoring and corrective actions.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, CAPA activities, and country quality plans.
Drive accountability for quality performance and continuous enhancement of delivery standards.

【Financial Management】
Manage budgets, resource utilization, profitability, and operational expenditures.
Optimize financial performance while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
Monitor and address cost overruns and implement efficiency initiatives.
Ensure effective management of billable utilization and workforce productivity.

【Commercial Growth】
Develop and strengthen customer relationships to identify new business opportunities.
Partner with Business Development and Operational leaders to support business growth strategies.
Provide country expertise for proposals, bid defenses, and customer engagements.
Support regional expansion initiatives and contribute to revenue growth objectives.

技能/経験

■Qualifications

【Required】
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
Fluent in English and the local language, both written and verbal.
Strong knowledge of the drug development process, ICH-GCP guidelines, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in a clinical research or healthcare environment.
Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrix organization and drive accountability, performance, and employee engagement.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, mitigate operational and customer risks, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing resources and team performance.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.

【Experience】
10+ years of people management experience, including leadership of managers.
Significant experience building and maintaining customer relationships within clinical research, CRO, or healthcare settings.
Experience in workforce planning, resource management, talent development, and performance management.

【Preferred】
Master’s degree or other advanced qualification in a relevant discipline.
Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams within a global matrix organization.

【Work Environment & Travel】
Office-based or home-based role, with office presence as required.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 20–30%), including overnight stays.
Valid driver’s license where required for business travel.
