MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB：
Delivering continued bid success will be crucial for delivering the growth strategy. Key wins in this market are dependent on strategic and highly innovative approaches to adding value to projects and bids.

The role will work in the bid team based in Tokyo, reporting to the Bid Lead, working across Japan to deliver competitive and commercially robust bids. This key role will be responsible for leading and driving all bid activities for allocated bids in the portfolio, working closely with various teams.

This is a highly demanding role where in-depth understanding of offshore wind projects, project economics and commercial value drivers and developing successful bid strategies is paramount. The role holder will be able to provide strategic context to bid decisions and think innovatively to develop winning bid strategies and drive commercial value improvement across these bids.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES：
・Safety, health and environment. Safety is a number one priority
・Responsible for developing bid strategy including: pricing, value improvement, increase scoring against auction criteria, and bid programme
・Lead bid activities, from bid strategy through to bid award including directing team members from across disciplines and or JV partners
・Manage work with external advisor (e.g. bid advisor). Support relationship management with JV partners
・Manage bid compliance and documentation of allocated bids across the portfolio as well as providing bid administration support to the team. Ensuring we meet the client’s requirements (from pre-qualification to contract award) and governance. Review, assess and understand client requirements, timeline and objectives to effectively support the bid team in delighting the client.
・Challenge team and all commercial value drivers in economics to achieve a winning bid price.
・Work closely with Corporate Finance on the bid economics and model inputs
・Provide support in raising purchase orders and tracking bid costs against budget
・Responsible for ensuring market and competitor analysis is performed, is robust and provides key insights for driving decisions on bids.
・Preparation of and presentation to ours Large Capital Projects Leadership team, Ex Co and Board.
・Establishing and engaging high performing individuals to support bid team.
・Provision of regular reports and communication of the bid progress to Bid Steer Co.
