■Key Qualifications and Experience
• Academic background in Energy Systems, Engineering, Applied Economics, Physics, or related quantitative field
• Master’s degree preferred; strong Bachelor with Honors will also be considered
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in power market analytics, energy trading, or system modelling. Outstanding candidates with less experience may also be considered.
• Basic understanding of Japan’s wholesale electricity market and pricing mechanisms
• Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with practical data processing tasks
• Clear logical thinking and effective communication
• Fluent in both Japanese and English (required). For Japanese nationals: must be able to communicate effectively in English in a business environment, both verbally and in writing. For non-Japanese nationals: must have strong command of Japanese, including the ability to read market regulations, analyse Japanese-language data sources, and participate in internal/external discussions.
