Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business and working experience in compliance, legal, audit, risk management, or related fields is preferred.

Strong understanding of Japan compliance environment including HCP compliance, transparency, and industry codes.

Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and influence cross‑functional teams.

Excellent communication skills in Japanese and business level in English.

High integrity, sound judgment, and ability to work independently.

Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry strongly preferred.

Reporting Line

Reports to: Japan Compliance Officer

Close collaboration with: APAC Compliance, Global Compliance, Japan Commercial & Functional Leaders.

Work Environment & Expectations

Overseas and domestic travel as needed.

Role requires high ethical standards and discretion in handling sensitive matters.

Expected to model Stryker values and champion compliance culture across Japan.
