Objectives of the Position:
•Lead and coordinate S&OP and supply chain planning to ensure effective alignment across the organization.
•Manage purchase, production, and transfer orders to maintain optimal inventory levels while balancing cost, service quality, and operational efficiency.
•Monitor and analyze SCM KPIs with transparency, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving related actions.
•Initiate actions that directly support sales, profit, and business growth targets, ensuring full alignment with Global, Regional, and Local EM strategies.
•Contribute to and manage SCM-related and integration projects, participating as a project member or taking the lead as needed.
•Promote a collaborative and accountable team culture by demonstrating “Winning Behaviors” and serving as a role model within the organization.

Main Tasks:
•Strategy
Contribute to the EM strategy within the assigned scope by ensuring that material management operations deliver efficient, agile, and reliable services aligned with EM’s global, regional, and local strategies.

•Lead/Coordinate S&OP and Planning
■Sales and Operations Process
– Lead and coordinate the S&OP process jointly with business units and Material Management, ensuring adherence to global S&OP guidelines. Drive the implementation of improved tools and technologies to enhance the overall S&OP cycle. Ensure the S&OP process properly reflects supply–demand balancing across third-party, intercompany, and intracompany sales channels.
■Demand Planning
– Ensure that the global demand planning process, calendar, and cycles are fully followed within EM Japan. Support business units by defining targets for forecast accuracy and by performing analyses such as ABC/XYZ or other relevant evaluations.
■Master Scheduling
– Accountable for the output of the Master Schedule – ensuring it meets all commercial and manufacturing requirements for domestically produced materials, including tollers. Serve as a key stakeholder in risk management planning and related activities.
■Supply Planning
– Ensure product availability based on demand forecasts through proper application of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning). Direct the DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) process by establishing appropriate target inventory levels at each distribution point.
■Distribution Requirements Planning – plan requirement planning at warehouses and manage stock transfer.

•Manage Purchase/Production/Transfer order activities
Manage purchase (including tolling) and production orders, securing adequate supply while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Handle exceptional deviations or incidents related to orders.
Maintain relevant master data for orders and other Material Management processes.
Communicate and collaborate with vendors and suppliers to enhance supply reliability and improve SCM agility and flexibility.
Manage NCM (Non-Conformance Management) for damaged purchased goods.

•Key Performance Indicators
Monitor core SCM KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and drive actions that enhance performance across the EM organization.

•Process Improvement
Lead the identification and implementation of improvements in related operational processes. Share best practices within regional planning teams to strengthen overall business performance.

•Projects
Lead or participate in SCM-related projects of any scale, ensuring execution according to the defined schedule and within budget.

•Monitoring Logistics Service Providers Services
Monitor the service performance and compliance of Logistics Service Providers to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with business requirements.

•Training and development
Actively participate in relevant training programs.
Organize and deliver training sessions to support the development of team members.

•Leadership and Expertise
Demonstrate leadership within daily operations by guiding, supporting, and engaging team members to achieve operational excellence.

技能/経験

•Education
o Bachelor’s degree or above.
o APICS certification is highly recommended.

•Work Experience
o 5 years of experience in supply chain management, particularly in planning roles.
o Project management experience is preferred.
o Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is required.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required.

•Technical & Professional Knowledge
oClear understanding of demand and supply planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory control theory and practice, transportation, distribution, and third-party logistics.
o Knowledge of sales processes and OTC (Order-to-Cash) processes is preferred.
o Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to effectively collaborate and negotiate with stake holders and project teams.
o Strong data analysis skills and experience are preferred.

•Communication skills
o excellent communication capability with sufficient Japanese and English proficiency
