Be responsible for RKT & SG all merchandising and merchandise planning in brands and Categories. You manage and lead a team in developing and implementing long and short-term merchandise plans for our Direct to Consumer and Wholesale Channels. Together with your team, you ensure product availability that maximizes sales potential, while minimizing excess inventories.
■業務概要
•Lead the merchandising strategy for Wilson's racket sports and tennis-related apparel and footwear categories, covering both DTC and wholesale channels in the Japan market.
•Manage and guide a team of merchandisers and merchandise planners to build top-down, pre-season merchandise plans by gender, channel, and region, in alignment with Wilson’s Long term Strategic Business Plan (LTSP).
•Reconcile bottom-up merchandise and buying plans to ensure alignment with seasonal Open-to-Buy (OTB) targets.
•Analyse the Japanese market landscape, identifying consumer trends, competitive insights, and channel needs to maximize sell-in and sell-through performance.
•Act as the category expert within the market, advising the Brand Head on optimal product assortment strategies for each sales channel.
•Monitor and report on product performance, inventory health, and turnover rates, driving actions based on globally aligned KPIs.
•Partner closely with the Brand Head on business planning for key product launches, inventory opportunities, and risk mitigation.
•Own and control the seasonal product flow strategy across both DTC and wholesale channels, ensuring timely market introduction.
•Lead the demand planning component of the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, developing short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts aligned with regional strategic objectives.
•Collect and synthesize market feedback (from consumers, retail partners, and internal teams) to inform future product and commercial planning.
•Collaborate with the Brand Head on quality control matters and product issue resolutions.
•Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering skill development, best practices, and KPI achievement.
