【JOB DIMENSIONS】
Monitor performance of process units to identify any gap vs fixed targets and suggest relevant corrective actions.
Prepare and coordinate test runs execution to determine ultimate capacity of process units and establish most adequate operating conditions for various types of raw material.
Develop technical specifications for minor projects and/or plant modifications.
Cooperate with production/HSE/QA team to develop/review operating procedures, and carry out risk analyses as required.
Cooperate with production planning team to improve operations profitability, and evaluate feasibility of new operations and establish basis for their economic evaluation.

【ACTIVITIES】
•Assisting in the new product and new material introduction. Provide written documentation of procedures in form of process documentation.
•Quality, process, safety improvement proposal.
•Process parameter management.
•Assisting in process safety and product safety to assure safety production environment, includes but is not limited to PHA and MOC.
•Adhere to the operation concept of energy saving and environmental protection. Implement basic energy-saving awareness in daily work and support the company's energy saving and environmental work.
•Complete Operational Excellence relative work.
•Follow up Company HSEQ policy and procedure from production operation perspective.
•Timely report out if have any concerns about HSEQ gaps and develop their mitigation plan and actions.
•Provide process training to relevant production personnel and other newcomers.

【CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT】
•This position is located at a chemical manufacturing site and requires close collaboration with Production, HSE, QA, and R&D teams.
•The job involves frequent presence on the production floor and occasional exposure to chemical processing environments.
•The role requires participating in cross-functional project teams and supporting global initiatives.
•Occasional travel to other manufacturing sites may be required.
•The position operates within a highly regulated environment with strict safety and quality standards.

【RESPONSIBILITIES】
•Process performance (process safety, process stability, product quality, production cost, production efficiency, equipment design)
•Maintain the process system as required to ensure no safety or quality accidents during the process

【QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED】
•Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Engineering (or equivalent).
•Fluency in Japanese and English.
•Basic to advanced knowledge of process engineering, process design, and mechanical/chemical engineering fundamentals (unit operations, equipment, safety, etc.).
•Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills — ability to work across teams, interface with operations, corporate support, vendors, etc.
•For many roles: Some relevant experience (chemical/plant operations) — often 7+ years or more depending on level.
•For certain sub-disciplines (e.g., mechanical design, static equipment, or advanced process control.
