The Role：
Assist Head of Finance in managing overall responsibilities of Japan finance for NewCo, including the preparation of timely and accurate financial and management accounting reports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and assisting business functions in business analysis/forecasts through finance business partnering.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES：
【People】
・Assist Head of Finance in following.
- Driving the teamwork among Finance team (4 direct reports under Head of Finance; finance manager, senior accountant, accountant, and temp staff)
- Providing guidance and continuously improve capability and efficiency of Finance team.
- Liaising with majority shareholder of NewCo to ensure that relevant policies are kept up to date.

【Technical】
・Ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries for monthly financials (per JGAAP and IFRS).
・Monitoring accounts receivables and payables.
・Payroll accounting and labour cost allocation for overheads and project accounts.
・Fixed asset accounting
・Manage intercompany charges (incl. transfer pricing, if relevant).
・Cashflow and banking transaction management.
・Responsible for local statutory accounts and compliance with local regulatory and tax authorities’ requirements (incl. tax audit).

【Financial Reporting and Control】
・Prepare monthly financial reports.
・Ensure timely reconciliation of trial balance.
・Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements for controls and governance.

【Strategic initiatives】
・Ensure best usage of finance system maximising overall process efficiencies and effectiveness.

【CAPABILITIES & BEHAVIOURS】
• Excellent communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.
• Knowledge in both JGAAP and IFRS.
• Knowledge of local tax system as well as tax and statutory audit.
• Possess problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through complex issues.
