塗料、接着剤原料に加えて高性能エラストマーと複合材料においても広範な製品を提供しています。
イソホロンを出発製品・原料とするジアミン、ジイソシアネート、その誘導体製品、またエポキシ樹脂硬化剤は、二液常温硬化型、および一液熱硬化型硬化剤において幅広い製品ラインナップがあります。
「地球にやさしい」を最優先に、CO2排出量を大幅に削減したイソホロンから成る製品群や水系エポキシ樹脂、硬化剤の開発に努めています。

■General Purpose
・This position is responsible for managing technician resource for laboratory and overseeing technical activities that support the sales, production and new product development mainly in Japan, mainly associating with epoxy curing agents (incl. ink binder and thermoplastic resins).
・The incumbent is a technical leader for new product development in collaboration with a business lead.
・The incumbent is required to establish effective technical support to Japan market mainly in alignment with regional growth strategy such as product positioning and customer segmentation.

1. New product/technology development and technical solutions
•Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify market needs and translate them into chemistry or formulation requirements.
• Utilize internal innovation tools such as Accloade to prioritize new product development programs and communicate timelines for maximizing business impact.
•Proactively manage the priority of each program/project to make use of lab resource more effectively and support the business. Prioritize projects with global portfolio team, Asia Marketing and Regional Technical Manager.
•Foster creativity and idea exchange within the team, leading efforts toward scientific goals.
•Plan promotional activities for global new products in collaboration with regional marketing.
•Interface with other business line and seek new business opportunities with marketing team.

2.Technical service
•Proactively maintain technical contact to the focused customers and establish credibility
•Manage technical service through TSR (Technical Service Report) systems and allocate resource with marketing team.
•Support process, plant and supply chain team solving quality issues and customer complaints.
•Support purchasing / procurement team in raw material qualification.
•Product stewardship support
•Train sales channels and collect market and customer feedback though session
•Coordinate lab source to support I Chain business with 0.1FTE maximum.

3. Foster team members
•Support to set up target plan for team members.
•Provide the latest technical training and knowledge to internal team.
•Coach team members to develop proposals for their career development and enhance their skills for improved performance.

4.Laboratory Safety and Operations
•Maintain laboratory in accordance with company and local safety codes with Japan ESHQ representative.
•Support lab safety officers in conducting regular safety meetings, organizing events, and enhancing member engagement
•Implement safety training for all visitors prior to lab entry and ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
•Manage expenses and set the budget for the group.

・Minimum 5 year experience in chemical industry or over 3 years of experience in lab management role, demonstrating strong supervisory skill.
・Master degree or higher in polymer science, organic chemistry, chemical engineering or similar preferred.
・Expertise in epoxy chemistry and familiarity with epoxy applications of coatings, civil engineering, adhesives or composites industries are preferred.
・Good experience in technical service with direct customer communication.
・Good experience of R&D project development and management.
・Ability and motivation to collaborate with multinational teams in Asia and globally.
・Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
・Willingness to travel for business within Japan and Asia.
