Job Objective
Being a store manager you will be part of a busy, dynamic environment that changes constantly, providing you with opportunities to seek and delight customers through leading a team of highly motivated and talented retail professionals.
Key Results Areas
Business Development - Maximize store sales and revenue - Use all data available, knowledge of the business and market place to seek new opportunities and improve core business - Active benchmarking of competitor business and brand activities - Propose store events to generate business - Active participation in the Community to drive external traffic generation
Customer Relationships and Customer Service
- Role model customer service - Attract create & maintain loyal Zegna customers at every opportunity. - Manage and develop customer relationships (know the customers) – profiles, local/travelers, potential customers - be the ambassador of the brand
- Analyze and use CRM data that sets the direction with the sales team to develop business plans & relationship activities - Build solid relationships with VIP customers - Resolve customer problems/complaints - Supervise execution of the selling flow, provide provision of professional styling advice and after sales ceremony - Seek to provide service that delights the customer and takes actions within defined a customer service framework
- Be a coach to sales associates in order to develop long-lasting relationship with customers.
Product - Develop an in-depth knowledge of Zegna products – composition / style / origin. - Keep up to date on stock situation and proactively work with merchandising/planning teams on stock consolidation and transfers - Provide feedback on products to assist merchandising team on the plans for the buying - Identify slow moving stock and take actions to drive sales and achieve sell-through - Executes activities to drive sell-through
Visual & Image Management
- Guarantee execution of Visual Merchandising Guidelines & Standards
- Guarantee Sales Associate image and grooming according to guidelines
- Through VM be the custodian of brand image and shop maintenance
- Collaboration with VM to analyze slow movers and make VM changes to boost sales
People - Continuously raise the standard of in-store personnel, increasing sales effectiveness and enhancing the customer experience - Recognize and reward potential talent - Manage and implement performance management and talent development processes - Actively train and coach sales associates to develop store capability - Motivate and support associates to create strong teamwork - Employs fun, creative and engaging motivation techniques to encourage peak individual performance - Recruit, select and hire store associates - Manages in-store communication channels including morning briefing, log book, notice board etc and implements organization communication cascading
- Identify in-store training needs & take necessary actions to fulfill the needs
- Manage and resolve conflicts to ensure a healthy team environment
- Take necessary disciplinary action
Sales Management -Sets monthly, weekly and daily sales goals with sound action plans to meet annual plan. -Plans sales force staffing deployment and store shift management -Plans for trading peaks and troughs, emergencies and ad-hoc situations
Store Operations
-Stock room management to prevent stock shrinkage as well as to support the efficiency and effectiveness for daily sales activities - Ensure compliance to company standards - Achieve excellence in retail operations effectiveness and efficiency deliver: • Consistent standard of daily operation • Consistent standard of store environment - Develop store communication content and plan to ensure that best practices and information are consistently shared - Ensure store operations rules/policies are implemented and followed - Manages all financial aspects of business operations, accounting and budgeting including: - Use of reporting tools (daily, weekly, monthly reports) - Analysis of report data. - Cash register operation. - Sales against goals - track sales versus established standards
- Guarantee that all HQ guidelines (in terms of video, music, packaging, stationery, fragrance diffusion, special projects, etc.) are properly implemented, previously informing the staff and verifying the correct application in store. - Verify with the staff that all due props and store materials/tools are present and correctly used. - Consistently monitor, assess and improve store's alteration standards through managing sales associates and tailors. - Be responsible for ensuring consistent and high standards MTM in-store operation to ensure the MTM services
- Landlord relationship daily maintenance to create an supportive daily commercial environment for the store
- Identify IP related information and report to the company

Relevant experience of 4-6 years in retail / hospitality management
•Proven record on consistently taking action to improve service level in responsible area
•Team leadership experience includes coaching operational skills and building team environment
•Team performance management involving daily goal setting and achievement
•Proven experience on managing a multi-faceted operation
