This role will drive strategy on assigned brand(s) to meet Diageo’s brand and portfolio strategy. The role also holds accountability for implementing growth & success initiatives for the brand(s).

Kirin Brewery HQ, Sales and Marketing Planning Team
Duties and responsibilities
• Work with line manager to development of Japan’s brand strategy and annual Marketing Plan
• Hold accountability for a range of marketing activities after MBP (Marketing Business Plan) aligned, localize and adapt global growth drivers, or develop new local growth drivers as required
• Accelerates the growth of the brand in Japan through exciting, dynamic growth drivers aimed at target audience
• Drive ATL and BTL comms strategy in building brand awareness and talkability through creative and cutting edge ideas to ensure brand is at the front of targeted consumer culture
• Build strong collaborative relationships with DJKK commercial team and Kirin for growth opportunities and build strong commercial plans that win with customers, consumers and shoppers.
• Lead brand planning to build long term growth and ideation to unlock new opportunities
• Work closely with global and regional innovation team to ensure innovation agenda and pipeline best fit the brand and business growth needs
• Collect, compile, verify, and analyze 1) data on market trends, consumer cultural trends, and competitor activity to identify market opportunities and challenges and 2) data on product performance and customer/consumer feedback to meet customer/consumer needs
• Responsible for budget control and business targets to deliver brand growth for short and long term
